Not feeling overly confident tonight. The Devils have been playing well and I just hoped we aren't out-manned. Even healthy, this would be a big task with our recent struggles against them. Granted, we were spent in the playoffs last year after the Pens series. But we also aren't as good right now as last year, even healthy.

They will need a strong fore checking and limited penalties to win this one. I could see them squeezing tonight out. Losing tomorrow and then winning monday

Bill,

I would seriously consider playing Giroux on the wing until Hartnell gets back. The last few games Giroux was playing high in the offensive zone as Read and Simmons fought down low. Maybe Read should center and allow Giroux to try and generate some offense. I believe Giroux played some wing in juniors. The way he is playing.....it can't hurt, can it?

He would still have to take the defensive face-offs though since he is the only one succeeding in that area.

The Flyers need to play the way they did against Tampa in the 2-1 win tonight. Get the puck deep and hound the Devils outlet and transition game. Get bodies to the net and upset old man Brodeur.

Giroux is really the only quality faceoff guy they have right now. And I think Giroux just simply has to play better, rather then changing positions.

I gotta feeling G tears it up tonight.. He started to come around, and that line had some pretty good chances last game... I think he has a 3 point night in a solid all around Flyers win.

that's kind.

i was thinking the bad experiment line, or this clearly won't work line.

The best part about this season so far is the play of Bryz.

He has been the goalie the Flyers signed and has given the team a chance to win pretty much every game.

He is obviously stuck in a rut......simply playing better isn't working for him right now. I'm not sure if a temporary shift to wing would help but it may give him an increase in scoring opportunities. The Flyers have many options at center and if I was Lavy, I would certainly consider this option to get G going.
